Description:The Mersen Protistor High Performance size 44 aR fuse is designed for AC protection. The PSC-LR Protistor fuse-links provide flexibility in equipment design and ultimate protection for power conversion equipment. Engineered to protect semiconductors such as diodes, thyristors, GTO\’s, and IGBT devices, these fuses ensure reliable operation. The fuses are constructed with pure silver elements embedded in solidified sand to control arcing characteristics, providing a low It and high interrupting rating.

Additional Information:

• Fuses are assembled with pure silver, die-cut elements embedded in solidified sand for a lower It and high interrupting rating.
• All contact surfaces are plated, and all hardware is non-magnetic.
• Fuse-links can be equipped with a low voltage trip indicator, operable with a field mountable microswitch.

This fuse is part of the high-performance range specifically developed to address on-board electric and hybrid vehicle applications, providing ultimate protection by offering reliable clearing of DC fault currents in challenging environments and complying with high-quality automotive industry requirements.
